Vizbiz is the visual alias of Berlin-based artist Mary Gouldsbrough. With a weakness for warm colours, dancing crowds and organic shapes, she creates live visuals that mirror the atmosphere of the dancefloor, reflecting the music and the energy back into the room. Blending found footage, analogue textures and generative animation, she builds playful visual worlds full of warmth, movement and colour. As a curator of Berlin's VJ Open Lab, she believes the best visuals don't steal the show. They simply invite everyone a little deeper into the music.

Most live visuals are created in response to finished music or following a known DJ, so it's a rare pleasure to be invited into a project where the visual language comes first. It's an really a privilege as a VJ. Using warm colour palettes, human movement and abstract forms, I create playful environments that mirror the energy in the room, inviting people to let go, feel connected, and indulge in a little cosmic escapism.
