Born in 2000 in Taipei, Lien Po-Hung’s work focuses on occultism’s representation and function in the digital age, examining how technology and objects form a system that impacts humans’ existential conditions. By juxtaposing history, mysticism, and technology, an intermediary zone that spans both the emotional and rational dimensions is constructed, thereby exploring the multifaceted paths into humanity’s perceptual worlds.

Lien’s solo exhibition Constellation of Perception (Waley Art, 2025) has been nominated for the 24th Taishin Arts Award. In recent years, he has exhibited at MoCA Taipei, Palazzo Bembo in Venice, Bilbao, Spain, the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore, Our Museum, and New Taipei Gallery.

In history, the state of madness was believed to be linked to lunar phases. The word "Lunatic" originally described those whose sanity was disturbed by the moon's influence.

Today, algorithms and screen light have replaced the moon's ancient power. Artificial light now illuminates our lives 24/7, erasing the natural boundaries of night and day. By manipulating our desires and sleep cycles, this glow controls our thoughts and bodies. Insomnia and anxiety have thus become the civilizational diseases of technological age.
