“Through the Light”/Light Art Installation

Cristian Mede'slight art project transforms space through motion, color, and reflection. Suspended circular glass panes hover in balance, becoming living surfaces for projected light. A focused spotlight passes through two or three rotating discs: two color-effect filters and a third coated with concentric reflective rings.As they turn, shifting circles and ellipses unfold across the room, expanding and contracting in a continuous rhythm. Layers of luminous color overlap, dissolve, and reappear, generating sensations that are both concentric and centripetal—drawing the gaze inward while radiating outward into space. The work invites viewers into an immersive field of light, where geometry becomes atmosphere and movement becomes perception.

Multidisciplinary visual artist, photographer, and cinematographer specializing in cinematic image-making and contemporary photographic practices. Cristian's work explores the intersection of film, photography, installation, and performance, creating immersive visual experiences that blur the boundaries between moving and still images. I focus on cinematic composition through a photographic lens, often engaging with industrial landscapes, architecture, and the human body in relation to space. Atmospheric lighting, environmental textures, and the emotional resonance of natural and built environments are central to my practice. Working across Europe and Latin America, Cristian develops visual narratives and performance-based imagery that connect cinema, fine art photography, and site-specific installations.
