HUMANITY
AV Live

”We live in a world where the everyday life of war is closer to us westerners than ever before.”
Humanity was released on February 20, only a few days before the USA/Israel attack on Iran. Truer words are hardly spoken. ”How can we change the direction of humanity? Perhaps collaboration allows artists to find ways to express difficult subjects. Perhaps collaboration can give a voice to those who do not have one?’

Humanity deal with various other conflict areas in the world: Sudan, Palestine, Myanmar, and Ukrania. It is a confronting piece reflecting the dark times we are in. This music is definitely not meant to be easy to listen to.

‘We hear the sounds of destruction, drone bombing and all the everyday terror of life under constant threat. For example, the field recording for the track “Palestine” was made by Nemat’s friend Amira, directly in Gaza. […] Songs are a small reminder of what is happening in the world today’.
