Helen Esther Aschauer and Leonor Patrocínio are filmmakers whose work explores identity, movement, and human connection through a visually driven cinematic language. Bringing together backgrounds in film, choreography, photography, and visual arts, they collaborate across disciplines to create emotionally resonant and aesthetically bold works. Their short film Tem Fé is their first collaboration, born from a shared desire to amplify underrepresented voices and challenge conventional narratives through movement, image, and collective storytelling. Tem Fé is an experimental short film that explores faith, resilience, and feminine energy through movement, image, and collective expression. Created in collaboration with a predominantly queer, BIPOC, and female-presenting cast of dancers, the film emerged from a desire to challenge dominant narratives and create space for bodies, identities, and experiences that remain underrepresented on screen. Blending dance, fashion, and cinematic storytelling, Tem Fé reflects on the strength found in community, vulnerability, and self-expression. Through a poetic visual language, the film invites audiences to consider how hope, resistance, and belonging can be embodied and shared across generations.
