Exo-Cortex is an invitation to feel free, guided by a voice that plunges us into a dreamlike and hypnotic introspection. This sensory experience, that plunges us into direct communication with a digital entity, questions our perception of reality and proposes an introspection on the evolution of human identity in the digital age through a form of reflection on the extension of our consciousness with digital tools. Exo Cortex invites audiences to reflect on the boundaries between the biological self and the digital self. The artwork explores how technology mediates perception, memory, and identity, questioning what it means to exist in a space shared by human consciousness and digital extensions of ourselves.
Jérémy Oury questions our perception of reality and our relationship with the digital environment through light, sound and space. He focuses his artistic work on an investigation of illusions based on geometric distortions, on the synesthesia between sound and video, and on immersive forms in order to disrupt the viewer’s perception of space. His innovative work has been recognized and exhibited in prestigious festivals (FIMG 2015, Luz y Vanguardias 2017, Fulldome festival Jena 2018, IMAPP 2023, Video mapping festival 2023) and international digital exhibitions such as ARTEC, MUTEK, Mapping festival, ISEA, FILE festival, and many others. In 2023, he created the SOUS DOME festival at the Paris Planetarium and DomoArte, an itinerary dome festival in LATAM.
