Aavistus Festival is made possible by our amazing volunteers. We have a wide variety of tasks available from communications, ticket sales, exhibition build-up, catering, documentation, artist hosting, and more.
Before applying, make sure to read about volunteeriing either via the application form or bellow.
As a volunteer, you will work two shifts, each approximately 7 hours long. Most shifts take place during the festival, but some may be before or after the festival.
No prior experience needed, you will be trained and tasks are supervised
You must be at least 18 years old to volunteer
We may not be able to offer a volunteering opportunity to every applicant
If you do not show up for your already agreed-upon shifts (excluding force majoure cases), we will invoice you for the ticket price
We value a safe, inclusive, respectful and sustainable environment, and expect all volunteers to support this
Access to the events and programme, e.g. Aavistus VJ Club Night on Saturday 3.10., WHS Theater Union and Helsinki City Museum events during the festival, and Heureka fulldome screenings (if not sold out).

Please fill out the application form carefully. We’ll contact you by email in early September. If you are selected and confirmed, you’ll get an information package and further details. Your final shifts will be shared approximately one week before the festival.
